Right so what happened.
Me and Jack were in the front room on laptops at about half 2 this morning when there was a knock at the door. Jack answered and some lads asked if John was there, Jack said no then they tried to force themselves in. We both put our weight against it and managed to lock it, but they kicked the middle panel out.
They pushed us into the kitchen and shut us in. They kicked Goh's door in and put him in the kitchen with us, they told us to give them our phones/money/mp3s, which we did. Then our bank cards and pin codes, i gave him a false pin, then he went out and came back in shouting that they had a machine to check (bull. shit.) and they would slit my throat if i didnt tell them the right pin and how much, so i did.
Then we got down on the floor with our hands behind our heads at his request (there were five of them btw), and he accused Goh's pin on being wrong, kicking him in the head (nothing seriou, like) then when Jack tried to explain that it was his card he got a kick too (again, no blood or anything). Then back down on the floor some of them scarpered out the back, the rest out the front, with a lot of our stuff, when the police came.
They took a statement from each of us, helped us cancel our cards, got the door put back on aswell. Another police dude came later with some of the stuff that got recovered, and said they'd apprehended 5 suspects. The CSI came later to take fingerprints and evidence, and missed two huge shoeprints on jack's knocked over wardrobe door, which I spotted (hell yeah), and the landlords came and screwed the door to the frame and changed the locks.
Things that got stolen include the laptops (4 in total) Wii (but not the wires XD), PS3 (again, sans wires =P), my phone (the other 2 were found), my bag (with passport! eep) and my DS, WITH ALL MY POKEMON T^T Not pleased.
The important thing is that we're all unharmed, but shaken is all, and our neighbours are awesome for calling, at least 2 did, and Steve came round twice to check how we were. Jack's gone home, and Goh's gone with him because his family is in Asia (feel really sorry for him) and my parents are coming to pick me up soon. My dad said they found two laptops in the alley round the back of mine, dunno who's they are though yet. I'm using my old phone number (with no credit now) and if anyone needs to contact me it's 07935035323. So all in all we're fine now, just annoyed, so no need to worry, just wanted to let people know the story.
AND I MISSED RED DWARF >< GAH.

Right *dusts off hands* rest of life.
There's a very real possibility i will fail this year. I've missed a few c/ws already, and have a month and a bit to do 4 or 5, which i havn't yet started. I'm not fussed if i do either way tbh, if i do pass great, but if i don't then i'll just do another course, one i actually enjoy maybe XD
Things with me and Rosie are good. She does annoy me sometimes, but i do love her. Not gonna say we'll be together forever (who says that? that's just asking for a kick from destiny) but i have no intention of breaking up with her soon. We'll see. I'm happy with us anyway ^^
Went for a blood pressure check and heart/kidney scan last week. When i get the results back i'll put 'em up. Not in a getting robbed se-y'know what i mean. The doctor thinks i have acute hypertension, prolly cause both my parents have high blood pressure. Makes sense i guess =P
Jack bought Street Fighter 4 the other day. It's so difficult it's not even funny. Well the final boss (Seth, part 2) on arcade mode is anyway. The others are challenging difficult, he's break your legs and try to tapdance hard. It's love-hate, i love the game, up until him. Very good for multiplayer though. Actually Seth prolly isn't helping my blood pressure...
I have a lecture at 9 tomorrow, i should go to sleep. Stay indoors you guys. Unless you need to go outside. Later days ^^

Called the Ragamuffins if you hadn't already figured that out. They're (in my humble opinion) one of the best unsigned bands ever, and their songwriting is second to none. New years was good, except for James and Anna being miserable and having sex in my bed.
Visiting Rosie and her family in Scunthorpe was awesome, they really made me feel welcome.
Life in general is good. Would love to see some of you guys at any point in the near future.
Right now on to the reason i'm making this post. I was just watching the fight between Ash and Maylene in the dub series of pokémon. I like the new dub, some of the pokémon voices are annoying and i still prefer the original but it's not bad. However during the battle i can't help but notice that Ash's voice is far more feminine than Maylene's, which is even more messed up because in Advanced he had a really deep voice. Do people in that universe go through puberty twice or something? And why didn't they get Maylene's voice actor to do Ash's part instead, at least then it wouldn't sound like it was the wrong way round when they were battling.
The thing that really annoyed me though, so much so that i paused it and went straight here, is the battle itself. Having Machoke block a Quick Attack with a Brick Break? First of all Staravia is much faster than Machoke, so it would have got the first hit anyway, and considering it's a Quick Attack it would have definately hit before Machoke could even respond to Maylene, let alone counter. And THEN the AnimeDodge hit a new low. Aside from the afformentioned speed difference, there is no way that a Machoke, however fast it might implausibly be, could dodge an Aerial Ace, a move that is GUARENTEED to hit, just by Maylene shouting 'Dodge'!! If i ever find out who was reponsible for this atrocity i will find their house and fill either their pillow or one of their loved ones with the eggs of a man-eating spider and seal the building, watching them slowly devour them and whoever else is unlucky enough to be present from many different mini-cameras, installed at all angles for my full viewing pleasure!
Oh and i had a rather serious throat infection, but that's passed now. Hope you all had a lovely holiday ^^

Yeah so having a New Year's Party. I really don't want to clash with the party Penn is hosting, nor do i intend to steal guests, but my flatmates want one and i agreed so it's there. This prolly means i won't be able to make it to yours on New Year's Penn, but if i can and if it is going for a couple of days after i will try my best to make it to yours.
And i fully urge everyone on my friend's list to go to Penn's instead of our party, cause our's will be bad. It will prolly involve alcohol and James Costello in some combination, which, while sometimes hilarious, is in equal parts ludicrisely annoying.
I just made this post so it didn't seem like i was organising behind your back Penn, sorry again that they clash, but it being new year's i guess it can't be helped XD If i find that watch from Harry Potter that lets me be in two places at once, first thing i will use it for, promise.
There isn't really any other news to report i guess. Chrono Trigger DS is out on my birthday, big w00t for that. Platinum is released in America in March, which prolly means we'll get it in August again >.< Might get the American one this time, but i think Windie, Jack and Rosie would hate me forever for betraying my country. Curses. Oh and when i get my new phone at christmas you're all having the names of your repective pokémon, so if i call asking who you are just answer with your name, or impersonate your pokémon just to fsck with my head.
I'll save my christmas wishes for a time closer to the day i think. Don't want to be as bad as advertising, though saying that if i was i prolly would have done it in November. What the hell is wrong with those people, cause i don't dislike the holiday enough already?

Meaning to do this for two weeks. Post a LJ entry i mean, not write on a blank space. Guess they're the same thing in a way. Already rambling.
Moved out a couple of weeks ago to Liverpool, to an area my dad says he frequently works in. My dad the police officer. But it's been fine so far, havn't had any trouble near mine or in town, so that's good. Did almost get into a fight in St Helens today, but the guy was looking for one, literally called me (oy, Gof!), said something unintelligible, then asked why i was looking at him. My response would have been 'trying to decipher what you just said' if i was very brave or 'sorry, say that again, with gaps' if Gem hadn't been getting on the bus at that moment. There were window cleaners there to tell him to shut up though, so i was safe from becoming substancially more attractive. Thank god.
The house is nice, no power to the shower but at least it's warm. I've never had a bedroom that echoes before, it was odd when i first moved in, now i'm kind of used to having the walls repeat back to me. Be useful if i ever need to write a memo. The two guys i live with are cool too, though we're all quite quiet when sober, so it makes the odd day somewhat awkward, but by the end of the year i'm sure we'll either be talking loads or have accepted and/or made a game out of it.
Have just got internet up about 2 days ago, cause we had a phoneline router and needed a cable one, or something. What has annoyed me (and i wasn't surprised, just annoyed) is that after downloading firefox, antivirus, utorrent and 2 albums, the one thing that wouldn't download (and still won't) was windows live messenger. So now i'm stuck with windows messenger, which i'd rather just not sign into tbh, it's just bland enough to make me forget about all the people i love and say 'wth, suicide ain't so bad, right?'. Yes, that's right, it makes me talk to myself, fscking microsoft.
I've also been quite depressed recently. Not because i've moved away from home, or anything else i can think of, there is just no reason. I'm sure i'll get over whatever it is soon (the revelation that there might be 59 new pokémon in Platinum is definately a start) but it's just bugging me being like this, i feel bad for people i hang out with having to put up with me, and not having me unsult them like normal. I feel they deserve at least that. But like i say, normal service should resume shortly.
Been loving this song, from Keane's new album, which i hope is out soon if the rest are like this. I didn't think much of it at first, much like 'Is it any wonder' when i first heard that, but now i can't turn my iPod on without listening to it. Still don't care much for the talking in the middle though, they couldn't have done a rap instead? Shame.
Think that's it. Hopefully i'll see some of you before uni starts up again, if not then i will have to hunt you all down and come sit in your lectures and ask loads of questions, muhahahaha! I do laugh maniacally rather a lot on here, don't i? Hmm. Aanyway, cheerios ^^

Went to see The Dark Knight on Wednesday, for free XD
Martin and i were stood at the back of the cue when some guy and his girlfriend came up to us and asked if we were going to see Batman. I thought he was asking for the times so i told him there was one at half 2, and he said he has the tickets for the half 2 one and do we want them. We asked him about a hundred times if he was sure and he said yeah and walked out. O.o was pretty much our reaction.
The film itself was probably one of the best films of all time. Best film i've seen at a cinema anyway. We were just giddy watching it, because it's Batman. Amazingly though (or not, depending on what your opinions are of my disposition) i was actually scared through a lot of it. I was on edge throughout the whole thing, obviously due to Heath Ledger's awesome performance, but also because of a lot of other moments i won't give away as plot spoilers. I jumped twice during the course of the movie, which might not seem like a lot but after the first time i jump in a movie i sort of tense up for the rest of it, so it never takes me off guard twice, but this did it. Which Martin found hilarious.
The Joker may have been hyped up a lot, but that doesn't come close to how good it actually is, so much so that at no point did i look at him and see an actor, like i did with Bale or Freeman, Heath was just The Joker the whole way through. One of the creepiest things about the character was that he was genuinly funny, as in he'd make a joke and you'd laugh, realising a second later 'Hang on, i'm laughing with a seriel killer o.O' It really messed with head. I was a bit concerned at the 12A rating tbh, i mean i know i'm as skittish as a paranoid squirrel but i still think it's too dark to not be a 15. Or maybe kids are un-flappable these days, i dunno.
Also the Bat-Pod. Awesome. At least ten times as good as when the Bat-Missle appeared from the Batmobile in the 1989 film. At least.
Okay, nerd-gasm over. Back to the monotony until Gears 2 comes out in November. Adios.

I hate summer. That cannot be stressed enough. Next summer i am spending at least two weeks in the coldest place i can find in the British Isles. If when i die it turns out the Greeks were right all along, and that Apollo/Helios is responsible for the sun, i am going to bitchslap him to within an inch of his life.
In order to free my temper from the confines of this infernal season, and the fact that i've had no sleep and the dog (in a state of panic from the thunderstorm, thankyou Zeus) has slobbered over everything in my room, i've been in search of things to cheer me up. Behind cuts if you arn't annoyed by nature.

I've also been listening to the Lion King soundtrack. Well two songs anyway. It helps ^^

Why won't it let me change my university password at home, but i can just come and log in to the university pcs and it gives me a new password. Clearly someone does not want me to spend all my days inside, however that someone also wanted me to spend 50 mins on a bus to Liverpool for no good reason because the trains have broke. So that person can go fsck themselves, charity or no.

Gotta thank Windie for her fantastic shindig the other day, cause i forgot to all the time i was at her house, when i was leaving her house, and all subsequent days i have forgotton to text her. I wish there was a part of my brain that would remind me to thank people for the nice things they do, i ALWAYS forget, it bugs the crap out of me. But anyway, it was great seeing (almost) everyone again, and i had a great time, if spoiled a bit by James being a cocky bag of douche, thankyou very much ^^
Not much else to report i think. I'm looking for a job if anybody has any leads, and a girlfriend if anybody has any dogs XD (i'm not really, just thought that was too good to pass up). Guess i'l see you when i see you, or shortly after that when i realise it is actually you and not just someone who looks a lot like you. Buenos tardes.

Anyway i've been spazzing bout that all day, dance around the front room and all, so i'm all spazzed out.
Right lets see, other events in ones life. Uni is good, did an hour long lecture on how an N64 controller works, essentially, on Tuesday. Still havn't talked to many people, the one guy i did talk to only talked to me after i'd had my hair cut, said he didn't recognise me from the induction weeks o.o Fair enough, it is quite a different look, at least from the reactions i've been getting. Its a little depressing that having my hair cut and getting excited over yet another game are the only two peaks of happiness in my uni life thus far, but nevermind ^^

Anyway back on internet now after a week without it due to spyware related injury, I miss it when its gone, but can't find anything to do now. I've read all the webcomics i've missed (didn't crave them so much really, 's a good thing) and read all the emails. Resorted to Wikipedia now, i hate that routine.
Also 4 days in Uni a week. What the hell!!! My cousins doing a law degree and he does less hours than me. I think i'm gonna create my own god, then make a prophecy about my god kicking the crap out of the current god and any challengers, and wait for life to get steadily better. If you can't beat 'em, create something that can, preferably as flashily as possible. New motto. Will update on its effectiveness in due course.
Lots has happened since my last update, but i can't be bothered typing it really. All good though, just to give you guys some credit. Well done ^^ Oh and you know it's going to be an interesting year in university when on your first day you hear a classmate say 'OMFG i love Warlocks me!'. I managed to stifle the coke coming out of my nose. That or a level 64 human mage now has it in for me.
Also whats your favorite speech of all time? Is anybody sad enough to have one? It was a discussion i had today, resulting in Martin being pushed off a chair for quoting LotR. I would post mine, but i've had enough of a depressing few days as it is and i'd rather not bring it up again. Still if you wish to enlighten me to your own preference i'd be glad to hear it.
